Nature Of Light

Well the most confusing question, that confused most of the scientists and thinkers .. read on to know more.. Well the thing which we meet, experience most in our everyday life is light. we all know that basically that to see something there must be presence of light by our common observation. But due to our curiosity if we think about light to make sense , then we got confused.

 the Investigation about nature of light was started by lot of scientists but

 1.Sir Issac newton , father of mechanics(PHYSICS) Thinked that light is a stream of particles originating from the source say bulb, candle. and those particles interacts with matter. newton thinked that light is a beam of particles and proved the laws of reflection by using the concepts of collisions. Newton said that the light particles are corpuscles and they behave as per laws of mechanics. But newton failed in explaining the refraction of light as per particle nature using his mechanics.

 2.Now during that time An another scientist Huygens explained reflection and refraction of light treating light as a wave . wave means a process of transfer of energy due to some disturbance in space/medium. but The wave nature of light failed to explain The Photoelectric effect.

 We concluded that both assumng light as a wave is not always correct. and treating it as a particle is not always correct. this is a great confusion about light we explain some phenomenon as per wave nature and some as per paricle nature.

 presently we are treating light as of dual nature. We Think that we could find a better new theory about light which will be useful for our understanding and aplication in various fields.
